Delta Guide Service is the oldest inshore saltwater guide service in this part of South Carolina. We have been providing professionally guided fishing trips in this coastal area since 1983. Originally founded by the late Captain Gene Dickson, his son, Philip Dickson, now carries on the legacy. Captain Philip grew up with a passion for fishing and conservation and has been running charters under Delta Guide Service since 2002. He is fully licensed by the US Coast Guard and the state of South Carolina. At Delta Guide Service we take great pride in being not only a licensed guide, but a guide in the truest sense of the word. Our greatest pleasure comes not just from putting you in a position to catch fish, but in seeing to it that you enjoy the entire trip. Just like Captain Gene, we continue to encourage the practice of "catch and release." Many of these released fish will return as spawners, and that's when the releasing really pays off! We do not insist that your legal catch be released but we do encourage it. Although we are inshore/ nearshore saltwater angler specialists, please be sure to check out all of the services we offer in our "Services" page. Whether you're an avid or casual angler or simply want to enjoy a relaxing day of touring the area by boat, collecting shells on one our remote barrier islands, photographing the local wildlife, or anything in between, we can customize the perfect excursion for you.
